It takes a lot of motivation, strength and support from your friends and family to succeed in today’s world. What type of home based business idea you want to go with depends on a lot of factors.

It requires a bachelors degree plus a few years of work experience and a license exam that is extremely tough to pass. I should know as I am working towards becoming one.

In today’s world there is no shortage of web designers. The reason for it is that with the progression of technology, web design has become extremely easy to master. Tools such as Photoshop and Dreamweaver make it efficient and easy for anybody.

3. Consulting

Not many people even know what a consultant does. If a person gets good experience in a specific field of work, she can then start to offer advice about various subjects to other individuals and businesses. This is yet another very specialized field that a person must have experience in.

Although the above three business ideas are very good, they require either lots of experience, education, money or all combination of three! If you are like me, you want something that does not require anything more than a computer and the ability to type.

Just because a business idea works for one person does not necessarily mean that it is going to work for somebody else. For example, if my neighbor has been going to the gym everyday for the past couple years, its probably safe to assume that she will make a good personal trainer.

For somebody like me who only goes jogging once in a blue moon, I would have to find something else that I am good at.

You can get a lot of homebased business ideas by asking yourself some simple questions:

What do I like to do?
Is there a way I can make money from it?
Are there others who are making money from home by offering what I am interested in?
How do they find people?
How much are they charging for such products/services?
Do I need to speak to a small business specialist or can I learn on my own?

Take my advice and do your own research. You are the best inspiration and source of ideas to yourself. Too many times we underestimate the experiences we have had in our lives. Have confidence and write down everything that comes to your mind.

Give yourself more credit than you normally do. Nobody else has had the same life experiences as yourself, therefore you have knowledge that others do not. You just need to be able to get it out of your brain and monetize it.

Understand that there are no magic formulas to creating a successful homebased business. If an idea for a business has no barriers to entry, its going to have a lot of competition.
