What is CPA Marketing?
What is CPA Marketing? - CPA or Cost per-Action or Cost per-Acquisition is the science of Affiliate Marketing.
CPA marketing is one of the best, very popular ways to earn income online because of the large commission rate, besides that, you can become a CPA marketer without a website or with a website.
This is the first chapter in our series of CPA guides for beginners.
Affiliate Marketing itself is a broader scientific concept but the point is still the same, regarding commissions. The use of the terms affiliate and CPA still often exchange functions because there are no clear rules for the use of the terms.
The term Affiliate Marketing is more often used for product sales (like the picture above), while CPA is more used for 'action' or actions. What are the actions?
- Fill in the registration form
- Register email address
- Fill out a survey
- Provide credit card information
- Download something
- Installing software/applications (often called CPI - Cost per Install)
So by recommending other people to do the above actions, you will get a commission.
The commission you get from the CPA varies from $ 0.01 to $ 50 and some are even more. Usually, the more difficult the action requirements are to fulfill, the higher the commission.
Advantages of CPA
There are several advantages of being an affiliate marketer. First, the commission is relatively higher than being an ad publisher. Why so? Take a look at the following online product marketing chain:
Suppose a product owner wants to market a product on a CPA Network.
Affiliate marketers advertise on the Ad Network, and publishers publish advertisements. CPA Network and Ad Network cut costs as intermediaries.
Generally, from this chain, the marketer gets the biggest commission (up to 50%), while the publisher only gets half of the Ad Network. If calculated, the publisher's commission is only 5-10% of a product.
CPA itself can be superior to an affiliate. Even though the commission for each action is smaller than the sale, but because it is easier, the potential is also greater.
Requirements for starting CPA marketing
To become a successful CPA marketer, there are basic requirements that you must meet.
English
Since there is currently no Indonesian local CPA network, you inevitably have to register an international one. Therefore, English becomes mandatory in registering and marketing.
Learning English is not difficult, if you have studied at school, all you need to do now is hone it again.
Before entering IM, I didn't speak English at all. You can write fluently in English in less than 6 months without a course, seriously.
Money and time
Being a CPA marketer does not require capital if you do not want to spend money. But in exchange, you need more time than those with money.
In the end, you will still need to invest when you are already earning. It is very important to reinvest part of your income so that the income can double than before.
Technical
Basic knowledge of HTML and CSS is required here to create a landing page. If you start without capital, you must understand the basics of creating pages in HTML form.
Besides that, you also have to understand how to make a good landing page and how to do good copywriting techniques.
Finally, regarding the tracking tool. The success of a CPA and an Affiliate depends on their marketing performance, tracking tools are used to measure your performance.
Willingness to learn and dedication
I would blatantly say that the CPA is not for those of you who don't want to study. Many of the terms and novelties you will encounter in this series of guides. Not difficult, because it will be explained from the basics.
CPA is not a shortcut to get rich, I say that the income is relatively greater than that of an ad publisher, but it still takes dedication to work.
